| Introduction |

In general, scope of works at DID Limbang is in line with the Headquarters. Since the set-up of DID Limbang, the scope of works has been mainly providing facilities for agriculture's drainage and irrigation system. Nowadays, the scope of works has widen and incorporated project implementation for development of water resources especially in irrigation, drainage, river and coastal engineering, urban drainage, flood mitigation and rural infrastrucutres and also maintenance of projects related to water usage including hydrology. |
| Background |
| Jabatan Parit dan Taliair, Limbang was originally under Miri Division and the office was headed by Mr. James L.M Yong, Miri Divisional Engineer. In 1978, the office was recognized as divisional office and Ir. Alhadi Ibrahim has appointed as the first Limbang DID, Divisional Engineer. The first few projects implemented by DID Limbang includes Pandaruan Scheme and Merapok Scheme. |
