Objectives | |
1. | To provide engineering infrastructures to assist the State to achive the policy of self-suffiency. |
2. | To plan and design of new land development schemes which are efficient, sustainable and economical to support agricultural activities. |
3. | To provide professional and technical services afficiently in matters related to water management and land development to support agricultural activities. |
4. | To introduce modern practice and advance technology in drainage and irrigation areas. |
5. | To rehabilitate and upgrade existing facilities in order to enhance the function of existing DID schemes. |
6. | To operate and maintain the existing DID schemes to ensure the infrastructures can be functioned effiently and effectively. |
Functions | |
We provide professional services with quality through planning, design implementation and managment of all drainage and irrigation projects. | |
1. | To plan, study, implement and monitor the action plan and strategic plan. |
2. | To plan, coordinate, implement and monitor irrigation and agricultural drainage development projects. |
3. | To plan and prepare annual budget for development projects and for the Operation and Maintenance program. |
4. | To manage and monitor overall Section's operation which include financial and technical aspects as well as procurement and services for the development projects and maintenance works. |
5. | To design and prepare tender document for the development projects and maintenance works. |
6. | To plan, request for annual budget, manage and monitor the maintenance works for drainage and irrigation schemes and farm roads under MARRIS allocation. |
7. | To prepare Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for all the main function of the Section. |
8. | To provide technical services to relevant agencies for any ad-hoc project / programme which has been given to the department as implementaing agency. |
9. | To prepare outcome assessment report for all completed projects. |
10. | To prepare annual Land Use Report and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Report for the existing DID schemes. |
