To plan and carry out operation and maintenance for Drainage and Irrigation Schemes.
To investigate, Study and plan flood mitigation program for the Division.
To Improve drainage networks and river so it flows efficiently to reduce flooding incidents as well as to provide safety for transportation and a healthy environment in urban areas and along river corridors.
To carry out plans and implement minor works projects that are related to Department's core business.
To provide technical assistance to other Government Agencies in matters related to Department's core businesses.
To carry out supervision and reporting for any Development's project in the Division.
NOTICE OF TELEPHONE SERVICE INTERRUPTION AT THE HEADQUARTERS DRAINAGE AND IRRIGATION DEPARTMENT SARAWAK
Please be informed that the telephone lines at the Headquarters of the Drainage and Irrigation Department Sarawak are expected to experience disruptions from 14 January 2026 until 5 February 2026. This disruption is due to the relocation of the Quantity Surveying & Contract Management Division, Human Resources & Administration Division, and Finance Division, which are located on the 10th Floor of Wisma Saberkas, to the Transit Office on the 2nd Floor of the Binamas Building, to facilitate office renovation works.
