1	ASAJAYA DRAINAGE SCHEME	Total areas for Asajaya Drainage Schme is 18,143 hectares. It is located between South China Sea in the nortah, Batang Samarahan in the west and Batang sadong in the east in Samarahan Division, Sarawak. There are four (4) blocks within the scheme. Asajaya I - 3,441 Ha Asajaya II - 2,479 Ha Asajaya III - 2,012 Ha Asajaya IV - 10,211 Ha	1. To prevent the intrusion of salt water during the king tide. 2. To prevent the flood during rainy season. 3. To develop the land within the project area for agriculture purpose. 4. To increase agriculture yield. 5. To increase economic and sosial activities for the residents in the area.
2	KAMPUNG MANG DRAINAGE SCHEME	The total project area is 504 hectares. It is situated about 20 km upriver from Kota Samarahan along the Batang Samarahan. Another alternatives access is using the Asajaya bypass road, which is mostly covered by peat swamp. After the implementation of JPS drainage structures, the area is suitable for cash crop such as rubber, rambutan, pineapple, citrus, star fruits, paddy and etc.	To provide drainage facilities in the area so that tree crops can be planted, thus improving and income and standard of living of the people.
3	LOWER SADONG I & II DRAINAGE SCHEME	The project area lies between Sungai Ensengai and Asajaya Block IV Drainage Scheme in Simunjan District	To raise the productivity and income of the farmers through the provision of improved drainage facilities, access roads and intensive agricultural services.
4	LUBOK BUNTIN DRAINAGE SCHEME	The Scheme covers a gross area of 280.7 hactares (revised January, 1996) and is located on the left bank of Batanag sadong about 6 miles upriver from Simunjan District, Samarahan Division.	The main objectives of the scheme was to provide land protection from floods and provide proper drainage / water managment area. Prior to the implementation of the scheme, the area was subjected to 3' to 4' of fresh water flood with duration of 3 - 5 days resulting from axcess run-off from forest hinterland especially during landas. The area was also inundated by water from Batang Sadong by 1' to 3' during the king tides. The scheme would also open up more land cultivation
5	MID-SADONG I DRAINAGE SCHEME	The project lies on the left bank of Batang Sadong and about half (1/2) hour boat ride upstream from Simunjan. Located in Simunjan District in Samarahan Division	The main objective of the scheme is to improve the drainage of the existing padi areas and to utilize the swampy jungle area for coconut and other tree crops planting. Prior to the implementation of the Scheme, the area was under State Land and native Customary Right Lands. With the implementation of the scheme, land consilidation exercise was carried out whereby 1200 acres of State Land and about 500 Native Land Customary lands were sub-divided up to farm regular coconut lots (average 10 acres) and padi lots (average 2.5 acres). Another objective was to provide for housing lots (total 145 lots) at 0.25 acres each
6	MID-SADONG II DRAINAGE SCHEME	Located on right bank of Batang Sadong, mid way between Simunjan and Gedong in Simunjan District	The main objectivies of the scheme was to provide flood protection works and provide proper drainage to the area which had no natural drainage outlets stuffed from water logging and absence of water table control
7	MID-SADONG III DRAINAGE SCHEME	This scheme located on the left bank of Batang Sadong about half (1/2) hour boat ride downstream from Gedong. This project located in Simunjan District, Samarahan Division	The main objectives of the scheme was to provide adequate drainage to the area which was logged due to absence of natural drainage outlets and to provide for proper managment for paddy area. The scheme was also open up more land cultivation.
8	RURAL GROWTH CENTRE GEDONG BLOCK A	The project area lies partly within Simunjan and partly in Serian district.	To raise the productivity and income of the farmers through the provision of improved drainage facilities, access roads and intensive agricultural services
9	RURAL GROWTH CENTRE GEDONG BLOCK B	The project area lies partly within Simunjan and partly in Serian District, about 1 km from Gedong town	Objectives To raise the productivity and income of the farmers through the provision of improved drainage fadilities, access road and intensive agricultural services
10	SAMARAHAN HILIR DRAINAGE SCHEME	The Lower Samarahan Scheme which consist of an area of 4,520 acres (1,829 hectares) is within the Samarahan River basin. The area extends from Sungai Tuang, a triburaty of Batang Samarahan to Loba batu Belat. The area is accessible by road from Kuching which of approximately 32 km (20 miles) distance.The scheme is divided into 4 blocks namely A, B, C, and D. 1. Block A - 920 acres 2. Block B - 1,460 acres 3. Block C - 1,810 acres 4. Block D - 330 acres No internal drainage is provided in Block D as the area has been placed under Section 47 of the Land Code for the proposed Kota Samarahan Town Expension Scheme	To raise productivity, living standard and income of the farmers through provision of improved drainage faciliries, access roads and intensified agricultural supporting services
11	SADONG KRANG DRAINAGE SCHEME	The Scheme is located on low flat land and enclosed by Sadong and Krang rivers. The scheme is accessible by road and it is about 35km from Serian town in the Samarahan Division. The project lies partly within Simunjan and partly in Serian District	To raise the productivy and income of improved drainage facilities, access roads and intensive agricultural services
12	SEBANGAN BAJONG AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT	The proposed project is situated between the Batang Lupar to the east, Batang Sadong to the west and South China sea to the north. It is drained by tree rivers namely Sungai Sebangan, Sungai Sebuyau and Sungai Tebelu. Sebangan Bajong Agricultural Development Project was launched by Sarawak Chief Minister YAB Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud on July 1987	1. To provide infrastructure to overcome the problems of salt water intrusion and flash flood. 2. To increase the income, productivity and living standard of local residents. 3. To maximize land utilization
13	BAKO DRAINAGE SCHEME	The project covers an area of 240 hectares and between latitude 1 degree 38 minute N and 1 degree 40 minute N, longitude 110 degree 24 minute E in the Kuching Division of Sarawak on the left bank of Sg. Bako. The project area stretches westwards to as far as Sg. Tabo.	To overcome the constrains which hinder agricultural development in the area :- (a) Salt water inundation of the project area during high tide. (b) Fresh water flooding of the project area during rainy seasons. (c) Improve the living standard of the farmers
14	DAMAI IADP SCHEME	The project covers an area of 1487 hectares and bounded by Sg. Santubong on the West and Sg. Buntal on the East and South and is located in the Kuching Division, Sarawak	To drain the area which is mostly under mangrove forest to enable the farmers to develop the area and would also contribute to an increase in the farming activities thus increasing the income of the farmers.
15	KAMPUNG BENGGANG DRAINAGE SCHEME	It is located on the left bank of Batang Kayan about 6 Km downstream of Lundu Bazaar in Lundu District. Access is by boat only taking about 15 minute from Lundu Bazaar.	The main objective is to improve soil condition thus increase production from tree crops of the project and to raise the income and living standard of the local farmers. (a) Provide drainage to the project area. (b) To prevent salt water inun dation of the area. (c) To provide easy access within the project area.
16	KAMPUNG PUEH IRRIGATION SCHEME	The project area covers an area of 65 hectares and is located in Sematan Sub-District, bounded by the South China Sea on the north and by the Gunung Pueh range on the South in Lundu District.	The main objective here is to improve irrigation to increase yield of padi planted as double cropping in the project area. (a) Provide water storage for better irrigation. (b) Provide direct irrigation to individual padi plot by internal irrigation dithes. (c) To provide facilities for double cropping of padi. (d) To ease transport by providing farm road
17	KAMPUNG STUNGGANG DRAINAGE SCHEME	The project is situated next to Sebandi 'A' Scheme covers an area of 41.7 hectares and lies between latitude 1 degree 36 minute N and 1 degree 37 minute N, longitude 109 degree 51 minute E in the Kuching Division of Sarawak. The project area is situated on the upper stream of Batang Kayan on its right bank.	(a) Contruction of perimeter bund & drain to prevent high tide. (b) Fresh water flooding of the project area for one crop of padi. (c) To provide better farming land for the farmers. (d) To enable farmers to plant cash crops during off seasons. (e) To provide better drainage system to the project area. (f) The scheme area is accessibility by rivermine transport with only 1 Km away from Lundu Bazaar. For the land transport is posibble with the construction of perimeter bund for the Proposed Kpg. Stunggang Scheme which eventually will join to the existing Kpg. Stunggangaccess road leading to Bau / Lundu Road near the Lundu FerryRam.
18	RAMPANGI DRAINAGE SCHEME	The project covers an area of 311 hectares and lies between latitude 1 degree 42 minute N, longitude 110 degree 19 minute and 110 degree 20 minute E in the state of sarawak	To overcome the constraints such as : (a) Salt water inundation of the project area during high tide. (b) Fresh water flooding of the project area during rainy season. The drainage facilities provided will exclude the salt water and provide better internal drainage of the project area. The project would also contribute to an increasing in the farming activities thus increasing the income of the farmers
19	SEBANDI BLOCK A DRAINAGE SCHEME	The project covers an area of 81 hectares and lies between latitude 1 degree 36 minute N and 1 degree 37 minute E and 109 degree 51 minute E in the Kuching Division. The project is situated on the upper stream of Batang Kayan on its right bank.	(a) Contruction of perimeter bund & drain to prevent high tide. (b) Fresh water flooding of the project area for one crop of padi. (c) To provide better farming land for the farmers. (d) To enable farmers to plant cash crops during off seasons. (e) To provide better drainage system to the project area.
20	SEBANDI BLOCK C DRAINAGE SCHEME	The project is situated next to Sebandi 'A' Scheme in Lundu District	The main objective is to improve the project area for better farming land for one crop of padi during main season and cash during off-season. (a) Providing irrigation water for padi. (b) Prevent fresh water flooding during landas season. (c) Provide easy transport system in the area.
21	TANJUNG PURUN IRRIGATION SCHEME	The project covers an area of 140 hectares and lies between latitude 1 degree 39 minute N and 1 degree 51 minute and 109 degree 52 minute in the Kuching Division. The project is situated on the right bank of Upper Kayan in Lundu.	a) Contruction of bund to prevent high tide. b) To provide facilities for double cropping of padi. c) To enable mechanised farming by providing farm roads to every padi lot. d) To provide direct irrigation water to the individual padi lot by means of internal irrigation ditches. e) To boost padi production in the area. f) To be self-efficiency in padi.
