MIRI (Feb 4): Telang Usan assemblyman Datuk Dennis Ngau will be submitting a list of priority development projects for his constituency to the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Miri.

In a Facebook post, he said the proposed list was compiled after he paid a courtesy call on DID Miri divisional engineer Henry Tuah, where he was briefed on the department’s ongoing and planned projects.

“The briefing covered several projects including the riverbank erosion mitigation works at Kampung Long Watt and Kampung Long Ikang, erosion control works in the Logan Sibong area, as well as the padi field development project in Long Aton,” he said.

Dennis also received updates on drainage construction projects implemented under the Rural Transformation Project allocation for the Telang Usan constituency, including repair and upgrading works to the drainage in parts of Senadin.

“Based on the discussion, I will be submitting an official request for the consideration of several priority projects for Telang Usan, including the construction and upgrading of farm roads, river and estuary dredging works, padi field development initiatives and riverbank erosion mitigation projects,” he said.
