Clear drains to stop them clogging, residents urged

MIRI - A RM1.4 million drainage project benefiting around 600 settlers in Tudan Resettlement Scheme in Miri will be meaningless if settlers themselves don't work with the department in keeping their drains clean and free from reeds and aquatic plants.

Communication Assistant Minister, Datuk Lee Kim Shin said this when inspecting concrete culverts in Phase 1 and 3 and Phase 2 and 6 laid by the Drainage and Irrigation Department ( DID ) appointed contractor yesterday.
